Job Title: Global Quality, Compliance & Payroll Service Delivery Lead
Reports To: Global Payroll Director
Position Overview:
The Global Quality and Compliance Manager, Payroll is responsible for overseeing quality and compliance of payroll operations across multiple countries.
The role ensures adherence to global tax laws and data protection while implementing robust quality control systems to minimize errors and risk.
The manager will collaborate with HR, finance, legal systems and external vendors to maintain seamless, compliant and efficient payroll processes for a multinational workforce.
As this is a new team, this individual will be responsible for building this new capability within Iron Mountain.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Compliance Management: Ensure payroll operations comply with payroll regulations.
Monitor regulatory changes, update processes accordingly to avoid penalties.
Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce quality control guidelines to evaluate and remediate payroll processes.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential issues in payroll accuracy and compliance.
Vendor and Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with third party payroll providers, ensuring service quality, managing SLA’s and managing retained team processes.
Payroll Technology and Process Optimization: Implement and manage unified payroll platforms to automate multi country payroll calculations.
Integrate systems with HRIS and Finance systems to reduce errors and enhance scalability.
Develop a 3 year technology and process roadmap for payroll project priorities.
Data Integrity and Reporting: Maintain employee records in compliance with data protection regulations.
Review and optimize data integration design for optimization and adapt for change.
Risk Mitigation: Identify high risk areas in payroll operations, conduct proactive audits, and implement corrective actions to ensure ongoing excellence and compliance.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance and legal teams to align payroll strategies with organizational goals.
Provide guidance on payroll compliance and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate…
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
7-12 years of payroll management experience, preferably multi country
Ability to inspire, motivate and guide a team towards common goals and foster a compliance-focused culture.
In depth knowledge of payroll controls and an understanding of compliance regulations impacting payroll.
Strong knowledge of HR, Payroll and Finance systems (WorkDay, Strada, ADP, Oracle)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse global teams.
Analytical and problem solving skills to assess risks and develop actionable solutions.
Ability to work in a multicultural, remote working environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to manage vendor performance.
